Dracula Card
« on: June 23, 2011, 01:43:57 pm »
Why is it restricted to not receive 15% bonus EXP from Angel and Dragon race monsters? And is the "Does not effect Bosses" part only applies to the MVP EXP or to each and every Boss-type monsters in general? Meaning you can still get the bonus from the base/job EXP if you kill an MVP but it will not boost the "MVP" EXP.

My only guess about the Angel exclusion is that Skeggoid leeching would be too popular? I really don't know. Either way, 1 hour of killing Skeggs can easily get a non-trans character 95~99. The dragon exlusion seems really random. Did Dracula fear dragons or something? And angels as well? /heh

well the dracula and angel theory might make sense

i think thats just how the card came out back in the day, although angel could also be the odin thing

the exp part is only the MVP exp not the normal base/job that the mvps provide
aka. you would get boosts from morroc mobs except the valk 1

I been told it was based off something drac cant touch angels and dragons being immune to magic of any kind so his cards powers dont work /spin

But Dracula card was around before Odin. I don't understand the restrictions either.

I'm curious about this. And also if it works on Mini-Bosses.

Historically, Dracula's name mean's "Son of the Dragon". His father would be the first "dragon". Maybe he had daddy issues feared his dad, so that's why there is that dragon restriction on the card. Or maybe since he's a "dragon" it has some kind of Beetlejuice effect (google it).

And since he was a mass murderer, name is used in a negative connotation, that being demon/devil/evil/etc, so it would make sense that you wouldn't get the EXP from angel-types since they're two opposing forces.

That dragon thing seems familiar. Now that I think about it, a friend of mine read a book on Dracula and it had something about a cult or group that had a dragon as their symbol and their was an opposing group that had a knight slaying the dragon as their symbol. And how Dracula wasn't really a vampire and he was known as Vlad the Impaler?
I'm gonna go with this theory. And I don't remember if the book was fiction or not. I think the historical events and places were real, but the storyline and some characters weren't.
And also, I want to read that book, it actually seems really interesting.
