How does the custom usually work? Cash first then send ads? Or first ads and then cash?

Well usually show the money and send and confirm that you got it and give money well it really depends who does it and no there are no refund it is "use at your own risk"

Ok thanks. I'm trying to sell but they think I'm scammer if I want cash first.

I usually put the cash I'm paying into trade and confirm it, but leave trade open (i.e. don't hit ok yet). Then I tell them to send the ADs, when I see that I have received the ADs then I'll give them the zeny. Some other people prefer you give them the zeny first.

General rules I follow are:
Don't trade to anyone under level 80 (If they are a Trans, then I usually go for level 60ish)
Don't trade with anyone with what seems like a throw away character (named skjdasfkj or asddsasd for example)
I only buy/sell ADs with reputable people on the forums.
Screenshot everything (just in-case either I or other buyer/seller DC's mid trade)

But yeah, as others have said, this a totally use at your own risk trade. GM's will not help you if something happens.

I believe so because that is a act of "scamming" :O so yeah with enough evidence I think it is possible to get that person ban hammered

I believe so because that is a act of "scamming" :O so yeah with enough evidence I think it is possible to get that person ban hammered

also they can trace everything from IP and zeny,item whatever logs so its pretty much easy to track down someone.

GM's will return the ads that are scammed from u! if they are really scammed.
when i was newbie in this server and my only income was voting, since i dint know where to begin, i was new to RO as well.
some 99 trans HW scammed me and i had sent a ticket. Gm's promptly put back my *2 ads* and banned the guy !!
it wasnt much, but still i am loyal to the server and enjoy my stay since all my issues are taken care of

so, dont scam. also i have a crusader with a throw away name, since i first made him to throw away but loved to level him with GC

If you get scammed, they will refund you if you provide proof and dont be an idiot
