So I used the search function and read that strip weapon procs only when you're right next to your opponent. Is this true? Thanks!

Ive seen it work on Gunslinger, and sniper once. But that was Aegis.

Still ranged even at 1 cell. (just tested with Bows atm).

That only applies with monster attacks/skills. Depending on which one it is.
