If that fails:
1) Open up netmeeting. (C:\Program Files\NetMeeting\conf.exe)
2) In the 'Tools' bar, go to 'Remote Desktop Sharing' and start the wizard; follow it until it gets to finished.
3) Go back to 'Tools' > 'Remote Desktop Sharing' and uncheck it, so it's disabled.
4) Run Setup.exe for Ragnarok and your video card drivers will be there.

The reason for this is that netmeeting 'reserves' the directdraw function once desktop sharing is enabled. Disabling it will give it back to whoever needs it. I found the solution by realizing that it said 'disabled' in the DirectX Diagnostics [dxdiag], and then googling it.

Guys and girls, we already found out he has no video card drivers installed. @_@

VGA.dll tells us that. He just needs to find a suitable video card driver. But if he can't tell us the name of the video card, we probably can't help him.  :-X

How does one not have a video card at all, he has to have one, either onboard or standalone? He stated he had downloaded the drivers...

Which is exactly why he should run dxdiag ._.
It shows the video card and the drivers. By taking a screen of the dxdiag window we'll see what video card he has and thus we can provide drivers.
If dxdiag doesn't work, then go and download BelarcAdvisor run it, then look for the "display" are there and it'll show what video card you have.

And he has a video card but he's currently running his comp on VGA mode. Which means he just doesn't have the drivers. Any video card can run with the default VGA drivers, the performance will just be outright pathetic compared to real drivers. For example if you delete your video card drivers for one reason or another, your screen goes black when you start your comp. However you can set it up so that it boots in VGA mode, you'll have very limited resolution and color range but it does work.

He has a video card, just not the right drivers yet.

Which is exactly why he should run dxdiag ._.
It shows the video card and the drivers. By taking a screen of the dxdiag window we'll see what video card he has and thus we can provide drivers.

Yeah, but the problem is: most of the diagnostic tools (like dxdiag) only show the information the current video card driver gives them - so if you are in VGA mode, dxdiag will only display "VGA.dll", and that was it.
To get the name of the card, you'd really need a pure hardware diagnostic tool which works without drivers. Or you open your computer and read the name printed on the card.

And anyway, I already asked him about dxdiag. These are the results:
I can't play any other downloadable games. I didn't format my hard drive because I forgot how to. >.<

Here is the info on my video card

Main Driver:vga.dll
Version:5.01.2600.0000
Date:10/10/2006 14:00:00
WHQL logo'd: Yes
Mini VDD:vga.sys
VDD:n/a
DDI Version:unknown

Evil. You need video card drivers!

Do you happen to know the name of your video card, if you don't know how to find/download/install drivers?

EDIT: Oh, we already found out you had no drivers. @.@ Tired /yawn

Can this problem be fixed or do I just have to buy a new computer?

you need to find out what brand (gateway, Emachines, Dell etc) and model your computer is, then google that system name online and search for specs for your system. One of these will include the graphics card info so you can get a driver. If this fails, then a new computer may be in your future.

You just... need to install video card drivers! It's not such a hard thing to do :P

Do you know what drivers are? It's the software, so your computer knows what to do with your video card.

In order to help you, you should give us the name of your video card. Like, I'm using a "ATI Radeon Xpress 1150". I can download drivers at www.ati.com

NVidia video card users should look for drivers at www.nvidia.com

Relax. He doesn't know the video card, obviously. Which is why I told him to find the comp specs and use that to identify the video card so he can get the drivers. Not a big deal.

A lot of manufacturers interchange cards in there models so that might not help him .. I think he can go into Device manager and it should say under Display Adapters what the card is

Mine lists the chipset, hence the suggestion.  Worth a try anyway, since no one suggested it.
