Question on Emblems.

I remember reading somewhere that if you wanted to make your emblem transparent, the area that you want as transparent needs to be a certain color (magenta?).

Would someone be kind enough to tell me if such a thing exists?

it's RGB values 255, 0, 255 or hex value #FF00FF.

Thank you. I'm having problems with my emblem for some reason. Could you point me to where I could find all the restraints, usage guidelines, or w/e?
