Ragnarok_RE Runtime Error

I was patching up RE just fine, then a pop up came saying 20% ????? ????? ???? or something like that. It froze, so I closed it.
Now that I'm trying to repatch it comes up as the Runtime Error. I have no experience in this and do not wish to attempt anything without a bit more knowledgeable guidance.

The first error means that more than 20% of your rdata.grf is garbage/fluff, and it's asking if you want to repack the file to cut down on the excess.

Runtime error is kind of vague. Try running Init.exe and patch again. If it still comes up with an error, delete anything that's named like "Ragnarok_RE.exe.manifest" and unzip the following file into your RO folder:

i got it too when i finished the ragnarok_RE patching.

Did these things. I clicked on ragnarok_re, it opened and patched for a very short time, then switched over to our patcher. How can I tell if it's patched up properly?

If the renewal patcher closes without any errors, then it should be a success. I had it redirect to our patcher for convenience's sake.

If you want to check how far you've patched, there's a link in my signature. If you submit the files it asks for and get green lines, then the patch should be up to date.

Hey dox, I keep crashing when I go to Thor or Mosc but I checked with the thing at your sig and it says my files are up to date. What gives?

So if it re directs - it means our Renewal client is full patched ?I hadnt patched in 3 months so I was expecting alot of Renewal patches.

That version check is not very comprehensive; it just checks to see if the last patch applied to your client is the most recent one. What sort of error are you getting before the client closes with that memory dump? You might have a bad grf. I think Moscovia is in sdata.grf, so you might want to try downloading a copy of that from one of Fidelis's help threads.

If it opens the Animus patcher without any errors, then your client should be fully patched. You can double check with the link in my sig. Once again, that check is not comprehensive, but you'll be able to see if it at least went through the list of updates.
