Question about loot rights - Hardrock Mammoth - GM assistance please -

So, I take my time killing Hardrock Mammoth. I'm tired and slow, and I die several times. I did over 3m~ damage to it. Another Sniper (Axotnik) comes along after I die and deals the last blow (I came back and saw it), but I got the exp and loot rights because I did all of the work before he even came along. So, who does the loot belong to? I believe it belongs to me because I did all of the work. The other believes it belongs to him because he dealt the final blow. We'd appreciate GM input.

I don't have the intention of keeping it if the rules/GMs say that it belongs to the one who dealt the final blow, but according to the game it belongs to me because I did most all of the work.

If you lose your mob when you died, the loot right should transfer to new mob owner.
It doesn't matter who did the final blow. As long that mob is yours, you have the right for the loot.
In your case, i think the loot right should belong to that sniper.

This also brings to mind another question I've had for some time. At times, I will die immediately after killing an MvP and getting the MvP sign, and other people will try to pick up my loot but are unable for 10 seconds because it's still considered 'mine'. Then after the time is up they will take it. Is it true that MvP loot itself is considered Free For All BY THE RULES? (not by common conception) Obviously non-mvps such as in this previous instance are not Free For All. I require some clarification of the rules themselves.

Actually I am on the fence on this. If a person gets the red text you cannot get the loot that means the games automatically chose the correct looter.  If the last hitter had loot priority then what is the point of the red text. Its there in the game for a reason.

Seriously, make that thing a MVP.

If he couldn't pick it up, then it wasn't his to pick up first. Seems pretty simple to me.

Same thing happened to me when i was trying to kill beelze. I dealt almost all of the damage on him yet when i died another sniper suddenly came and dealt the final blow making him mvp and i was right there on the floor so pissed... and the loots  , he took it all I believe Myew has the right.

beelz is mvp so its free for all and mammoth is not a mvp so its not free for all.

Its really stupid not being a MvP but I guess GMs want people to automaticly know that deviling/angeling/etc crappy minibosses are considered MvPs and mammoth/lion thing isnt...
Make them MvPs!

Nah actually Poring bosses dont give the sign so they are not MVPs anymore. Meaning you could farm un-interrupted for hours on their spawns O_o

If they are dead then they can't really pick the loot up..unless they have that auto ressurection item or someone who can ressurect them. :/

I don't see what's so complicated...like it's been said before if it's agro'd on you it's yours...if you die the MvP goes after w/e player is there then they get the priority it doesn't matter if you did all the damage.

Also if you kill the MvP and die while doing so...of course you've given up your rights to the loot unless you do come back before the timer lifts or you use a token. Or do you see people reporting from Niff that they were looted after death.

^ This applies to loot types of all kinds MVP or not. But with MVP's your loot can be taken even when your alive.

Id just go to suggestions and make hardrock a MVP seriously there is NO reason not to make it one.
