Making some profit.
« on: December 04, 2010, 01:31:29 pm »
So, theres buying tool dealer stuff and selling that..
Grape juice and meat, are all very very simple to do and make.
But are the profit margins really worth it?

I'm super poor, about 500k to my name, and a ghostring being my most valueable item which I like.

I don't have the gears on my LK to go out and kick mvp's across the galaxy and sell their shizzle.
the only thing I seem to be able to do is use my Stalker to steal from myst cases or blue plants and sell cakes and blue herbs.

Now, Are these the only half decent ways to make money here? or am I really missing something obvious.

If you have a stalker then thats a very good start for profiting.  What gears do you have besides the ghostring? What do you commonly use on your Stalker? Knowing that I can recommend a few maps that can prove very profitable for you and are easy with minimal gears and the right stat builds.

Hmm,

I literally only have NPC gear, and even then, it's not a full set of stuff.

My LK has the odd piece of half decent crap.
Variant shoes, uhm, a cloaking mant, some full plates here or there, a helm[1]

stalker?
Uhm
A dagger? :D

My gears all went to friends when I left a year or so ago. and I've seemingly lost all knowledge and what not as to what to do with myself :S

Then I'll start by recommending a simpler map for your stalker.  Have you ever gone to Mobsters before?  Start in Comodo city, head to the East cave and take the cave to the next map; from there head to the south portal and you're with mobsters.  You can steal and kill them for Saphires and blue potions to NPC with a merchant; this is faster than cakes because you don't have to wait for people to buy them and they sell for the same amounts.  You only need a Damascus or Gladius and 210~220 flee with 127 hit to be successful here.  Seals also drop items but you might get mobbed so staying in the upper areas for mobster would be best until you're used to the map.
With the loot from there try and get a Whisper card which are about 400~500k each and slot them in a garment of your choice. I also recommend getting Mysteltian shoes which can be found for 2~4m. Its fairly steady profit.  For the Seals, if you get mobbed then use Hide, and hit them with Raid.  You can spam raid faster by using Hide & Raid at higher aspd levels so you might consider boosting your agility.

After you have more flee from the whisper garment, you can consider making an acolyte and obtaining a moscovia warp from someone.  There you can level and gain much more money than from mobsters. The monsters have more HP there so its better if you have good flee decent dex and high strength before you start there.

Other leveling options are Anolians which can be found by going to Beacon Island, North two maps and left one map.  They drop Oridicon, normal loots which can stack up to a decent amount and occasionally Pest cards and Brooch [1]s drop.

What he said

And the cake thing I'll look into.

Was going to do the Moscovia thingy or perhaps what SanRath suggested as they all seem fairly decent ways to utilise my stalker ! :)

I'll just see what suits best I suppose.
My LK used to goto Moscovia. I remember just frenzy spam > Rape > Loot > Relog > GJ spam > Frenzy and repeat.
But the cost of GJ sometimes outweighed the money I made seeing as I wasn't killing super quick and i got mob'd alot which chewed my HP down.

I would suggest cake farming, for a new person it is easy to make money that way.
I remember when I was new I farmed cakes until i had enough money to buy my first eddga shoes ;D And that was with cakes selling for3k each, and you can sell them for double that o.o

Go high agi and str and enough dex to hit them.
Just stay away from SK and you'll be fine

you got the advantages of autotrade this day...
make 3 or more vending slave it wont take days to make 1 char of merchant to get vending skill,
vend GJ and meat, GJ at 169 to 175 depend on the competition or how long you expect them to get sold, ill recommend 169, set all the venders at various place, check them out every 4-5 hours or whatever you wanted too, i belive you will get 200-300 thousand zeny gain per vendors with 500k capital per vendor. That 600-900k gain if you set 3 vender. meanwhile you can hunt other thing with other char, and I thing razer zeny guide for newbie still relevant.

i believe you could gather 1-2 mil a day even if you are gearless, in a week you will get 7-14 mil, if you planning to make like 5-6 vendor your income will be doubled, that is 14-28 mil per week.

btw iirc you need like 154 to make 1 GJ

People still go to TF to farm cakes o_o? Go to Moscovia Dungeon Lols~ unless you can't really stand the other mobs there D:

Tf is better for the less geared ppl. Moscovia can be difficult if u dont have decent gears.
