Help? Black log in screen

My friend is trying to get RO again, but is having trouble. She has the full installer downloaded. She can log in and pick the server, see the population, but it stays black  just before character select. She can't select a character.

The RE is this gray-screen with two weird icons on it, but it should be fine because she deleted it and redownloade the full (which for some reason only took like 5 minutes?) repatched, and stuff. I don't know.  But yea. Help?

Maybe try change some screen settings like the quality or the screen definition like the pixels and the size? I guess it is in your ro folder called setup

i have a question..does your Log in Background Schreen is on Black? cuz mine is o.o

Yeah. The background is black when I log in.

Here's a screenshot of after I log in and select the server, I guess... http://i151.photobucket.com/albums/s156/trace_the_city/animus2.png Though black screen is pretty self explanitory. I'm using windows 7 but I didn't install it to program files, just the C: disk.

I also just completely redownloaded anthemro (this time it took an hour or two) but it still doesn't work.

A: Actually, when installing to a location other than C:\Program Files, there shouldn't be any issues with Windows 7 (or Vista). Make sure to run setup.exe AT LEAST ONCE before playing (i.e. the first time you are playing, run it in case it doesn't pop up by default), and make sure to run it as an administrator (right click, choose "Run as Administrator ..."). Disabling the User Account Control will also help getting rid of a few problems (google it if you don't know what it is/how to disable it).

If that doesn't help and doesn't relate, check this and post a screenshot or something showing your numbers. A patcher -might have- skipped or something. It'd be nice to rule this out.

This is what the screen shot looks like  for the grf thing. http://i52.tinypic.com/23u8k8g.jpg >.< I disbaled the UAC, ran set up, and its not installed in C:/Program Files. Its in C:/Games xD Oh and I ran as administrator.

I tried running Ragnarok_RE but its this gray screen... I dont think its patching..

When the option for Yes or No pops up, make sure you click on No. x.o Other wise you'll have to probably delete it, re-extract, and repatch.


Narrowed it down: You have the right Animus Patcher which is fully patched. Which means it's something with Ragnarok_RE and the patching, or there is still something missing from your folder.
