Homunculus not gaianing 5x exp?

Decided to create a new Homun. And took it to South Prontera fields to level it. And the xp bar is hardly moving for the kills. Probably have kill 20-25 enemies and its only level 3?

Dang, no one has replied to you...  Im having a similar problem with my lif. It gains no xp nor does my alch from her kills.
