of one def point. People just round up because they're using decimals.

5-9, like 0.65, would be 0.7.
0-4, like 0.53, would be 0.50.

I'm not sure this is relevant, but concerning DEF. I think it's broken. -_-; I can't reach anything higher than 99, when in theory I should have 102+ raw DEF. Even swaps aren't registering correctly.

Example: 99 DEF (in window), take Bloody Knight off, it drops to 98 (in window). -_-;

Which makes it very tough to determine if DEF is even continuing to stack beyond what the window registers the DEF to be at. (When as previously mentioned; should be higher.)

Even when I did massive calculation with the theory it was .66% per upgrade, and raw bonus for cards/DEF of item. Results still came out wrong when the stuff was actually worn. Not by much, but maybe a DEF or two (according to the window DEF).

Oh wells, GM input would be appreciated, but \o.o/

I think 99 is the max, I'd have to go look, I know that if I overup all my gear on a GM char to 10, it actually resets my defense.  (In other words, it says I have about 50 def, and removing gear drops it to 0, and then BACK up to 99).  After a certain point, your defense counter will go back to 0.

Hmm, I see. Since I reached it, I suppose the next thing to do is get enough to where I don't need BK/LoD anymore. O_o;

Maybe the window doesnt show past 99?

Yeah, but what I mean is; does the reduction keep keep continuing? Does the DEF keep making a difference?

GM answers that by saying no, but he doesn't seem to be positive either.

I remember reading somewhere that monsters will always hit at least 1% dmg on you.
Not 100% sure bout that, but it's wat I've been going by :P

I think it does keep counting, but I don't really go and wander around in mob infested areas on my GM char while wearing all overupped gear, so I can't say I've ever tested it.
