Title: Incoming Item Tickets
Post by: ultimatekamikaze on July 17, 2009, 02:04:56 pm
Alright, can someone in a simple algorithm explain how the item tickets work so that I can actually sink my teeth into presenting a legitimate suggestion on how to handle them. I'm not currently very familiar with how the games code works, or I'd just say what I thought could be done. I am a very inventive guy, and I'm sure that I could easily find an algorithmic solution to the massive lag that took place today at around 3:00PM EST July 17 2009. Thanks a bunch, and I hope to find myself deeply engaged in future improvements. -MZiggy

1: I see this as a fine place to post this as the intention is to lead to a potential solution to the lagbomb we experianced earlier today. 2: If you really do not agree, please, where does this post actually go?

dunno much but... support tickets are separated by category when its submitted and the ticket itself is numbered then theyr solved in chronological order unless 1 case is harder than the next
I have a feeling you're talking about item logs tho the algorithm for how they record the item is beyond me but what they seem to have a problem with is how the comp sux too much to handle all the incoming data and thats possibly y it lagged recently
finding the algorithm prolly requires u to pm a GM or make a support ticket? :S

Finally, someone responds with something actually pertaining to the topic. Thanks for what you had, and maybe I will have to PM a GM but I'll give them a chance to take a look anyhow. If this helps anyone looking at the topic, this is an example of what I'm looking for:
<Function> that checks for monster par on a map calls- <Function> that creates a new instance of the monster in the map randomly, while calling- <Function> that creates a ticket containing the information pertaining to items the monsters get based on the preset probability
Am I making any sense what-so-ever? Thanks, -MZiggy
