Title: Vista giving me problems downloading.[PLEH]

So I got the laptop and I tried to download RO fresh on my laptop. When ever it is done downloading though a window comes up and says "this file contains invalid data". On the download page it doesn't say Vista. Now is it a problem that only I'm having or is this normal? Do I have to do something extra? I remember AceJay and Denia said that RO worked with Vista but I don't think we take the same steps.

Righ click Ragnarok,sakray and AnthemROs executable and set their properties to work under XP mode. If not look up Google for an XP emulator. Apparently Vista has caused problems with a tonne of applications hence there are bound to be XP emulators out there.

I run RO off of Vista. The only thing I change is I make the patcher run under administrator mode, I don't even have to run compatibility to Windows XP, though some have reported that they have to do so. As for the install file, I just double click it and it runs normally /swt ....

I can back that statement up, I run RO off Vista and it works perfectly with only administrative rights enabled.

What it could be is that your file might be corrupt Keneji. Connect yourself to the full install torrent, and then save to where your full install is. It will check your file and download and fix whatever corrupt parts you might have.

I don't havce the executable yet. The farthest I get is the first intall file the one that takes around 6 hours to download.

What do you mean by off vista? Like run it on a XP OS? I already have RO on my PC,=P. Im trying to get it on my laptop.

Ace your method seems like it's for people who already have the game and are getting errors. My Problem is I can't even get the game to intall because it considers the install to have invalid data. I wish I could just have to patch something but there is nothing to patch. T_T

I don't know if you've seen it but like 2 days ago the GM's put up Torrent and user full installs on the download page so maybe you could try those if you haven't already?
