Q1: What happpened? I believe that on Aegis they had a boost? o-o or something? and now on EAthena they changed?

Q2: Would it be possible to get this boost back?

Q3: Does Naght  act like a Dagger SQI ?

Q4: What build is good for a good DPS dagger sin?

DDPT MG and TTS mes + various daggers is what you need ;P *some people also use saber's in off hand but you could certianly use a naght sword in off hand :P*

1.- I don't recall any boost on dagger sins.
2.- see 1.
3.- I'm understood you cant Double attack with swords, double attack won't proc if you hold your sword in your right hand.

so dagger sins should be the same as before.

Q5: why is TF all of a sudden soo much popular than daggers?

Part of it was because switching elements became annoying as hell.  Think there was something where you had to remove all the daggers to remove the poison. /hmm

Actually daggers are weaker than before, I don't really know why and It would be awesome if they got fixed.

I never used daggers before the switch, but they still seem just fine now. What kind of damage did they do then? Anyone have a screenshot?

i wish i did >_< i just know that in animaro/anthemro i always saw dagger sins and now i only see katar sins (in pvp). If im lucky, i'll see one or 2 dagger sins

Yep, there's also issues of CK not working properly. Damage is definitely lower than before. Another issue is that samurai cards do not work for soul break when in off hand.

You could try a naght sword build but your going to need to stat more agi to hit 190 aspd. You cant switch directly either, you will have to use a katar to de-equip both dagger and sword.
Plus, daggers and soul breaker go hand in hand. Not using soul breaker with daggers is taking away one of your most powerful skills.

Well what can we suggest? Make daggers more powerful? All this stuff came with "official" updates. Most(almost all) of dagger Sinx have switched to twin fang, but i kinda miss dagger sinx. It would be awesome if they made a dagger SQI /rice

Find out what changed between Aegis and eAthena and change it back.

Daggers are already far more versatile, they fit a different niche than the TF does. If they really are that much weaker now, just changing them back to how they were before would make them plenty worth using.

As long as they don't stack with current SQI's, alternative SQI's won't break anything. Just let people switch it up with builds every now and then and possibly develop new things.
The thing that went wrong with daggers was they used to do 100% to medium targets and other size mods were different, then a update to iRO happened and daggers changed to reduced damage to medium etc etc. After that anything that was a dagger weapon and was affected by % damage was lowered. If the Dagger SQI is made it can enable to use of weapon perfection permanently and the damage will be what it was before with any dagger class weapon. Just what I heard happened according to previous discussions about daggers and damage.

I know ddpt + elemental dagger does the same damage it always did so the problem lies with in CK? the other daggers seem just fine.

The size mod only affects the weapon attack. I can't imagine Weapon Perfection would make a huge difference.

Not to mention you have to think... Who gets to use the dagger SQI? It's not fair if you make it Sin exclusive since Rogues were designed to use daggers more than Assassins. Furthermore if you make it vastly better than current daggers (which really are perfectly fine anyway in my opinion) the you force people to work for another overpriced weapon in order to compete.

Does it really matter at this point? Either you compete for two fully MVP carded daggers or you get put into NSQI. It's either you have gear and you go to the main WoE or you don't and you go to NSQI/MVPless. Both classes have dagger priveledges and neither should be prioritized over the other. Most likely they will have to be made differently anyways as the classes are very different in terms of how they are played and stat builds.

Regardless different playstyles should be encouraged. Ninja's will get their own SQI, they have to be patient like everyone else though. Everyone meaning the alternative SQI's

Do SN REALLY need their own SQI? I mean, if they do that, that will be 6 sqis (if you dont include valk/sleip/meg/brys/kaho) that they would be able to use. Either that or just have SNs be able to ONLY use their own SQI. But that's one of the reasons people (including myself) made a SN, its a major gameplay aspect.

Q1: They didn't have any boost on Aegis unless you count the removal of size modifiers but everyone had that.

Q2: Yes but up to GMs

Q3: its a sword so no but you can use max level double attack with it if you have an item that gives you double attack.

Q4:  DDPT/ DDTT MG + 10 in off hand + some other useful weapon in main hand.  Duel megs and kaho if you can afford it.



By the way, sinx duel weilding is plagued with several bugs right now that lowers its damage. Like all +attack bonuses do not affect your main hand if they are in your offhand.  Combat knife and ice pick are not working properly.  Drake is also probably not working correctly but can't remember.  I've seen on another server sidewinder card not working at all when put in off hand so we probably have that bug here.  There are probably other bugs.  I should start making  a list of confirmed bugs for when they can start to devote time to them.

Most if not all solo cappers are the katar variant. If a sinX ever used daggers it was for SBK. Which really is pretty nasty in a braggi. Just too easy to block with pneuma. Unless that emp is 75+ Hard Def I don't see it being better than TF anytime soon.

Well considering you get +2000 HP when you 99 them. On top of their +2000 HP armor. Factor in DL Sleips. Heck my 84 SN with just his armor, dl dleips and no base vit, has close to 5k hp. When I 99 him, thats +2000 hp + 1400 more from the sleips, so over 8k hp, then factor in vit and the dl sleip bonus from that. And thats quite a lot of HP for a technically, 1st class character.

Thats weird. The people who i knew who liked to mess with SN could only hit 10k HP tops.
