Main Chat

I did a quick search for if we were going to have a Main Chat channel. I didn't really find anything, but thought I'd just ask again if it would be at all possible before bothering to suggest it?

What are you talking about? IRC? In-game? Where are you trying to find a place to just chat?

In game. It's a feature on a couple servers I play, and very much enjoy it. Makes finding a party a complete breeze, as well as getting some really good deals.

Like guild chat for the whole server.

@main is simply a server-wide chat. One can turn it off and turn it on. It's pretty useful.

I agree, lets get an item that, when equipped, enables us the use of server-wide chatting.

Why an item? What's the point of forcing you to equip something to allow server wide chat? o_O

That's probably because they modded it with a different color. The client only supports a few colors and some of them show up as announcements as well cause they're not supposed to be used for main chat. But by default they don't show up as an announcement.
