I'm not sure if they've added this to their newer mini installers but the first mini installer that they came out with didnt have an sdata with it. I had to download mine seperatly from a link I found somewhere on the forums.

I see . Does your RO work ? A certain friend of mine says her RO never works after she patched- I am guessing a conflict of files occurred. Since I have slow net speed- I want to be absolutely sure of what I download.The RO main client which is over 1 Gb in size would require 20 hrs of downloading time. The renewal client would need around 90 mins.

You need: Mini Setup, sdata.grf, BGM folder (you don't even need the BGM folder). Mini Setup should include the rdata.grf (renewal files) and Ragnarok_RE.exe (which is the renewal patcher to patch your rdata.grf), but you still need the sdata.grf (my old download link should still work: http://174.142.186.140/sdata.grf), fully patched. BGM, well, either get it from some full installer, or kRO should include it. Not sure if the RMS Sakray installer includes a BGM.

You don't need to download a renewal client from RMS!

Yes my Ro works fine. I just installed RMS's renewal and patched it, then Animus's mini installer and patched it, and then at last sdata and I have yet to run into problems.

Honestly to me, this is so much easier than trying to keep up with what files do the Animus installers include and what dont they, as well as how are you supposed to patch properly and whatnot. I've just always done RO from rms then mini installers and I think it to confusing to bother switch now XD

I have wiped clean my old RO folders.
I am downloading he new one from RMS.
I will download the aRO mini set up later on.

I just like to confirm that what I am doing is correct to run RO.

1] Download Ragnarok Renewal client
2] Download Ragnarok Main client.

Sakray is no longer needed since we have Renewal right ?

3] Download the mini setup from aRO so that I could play Beta.

2] Install
3] Run animuspatch
4] Press play.

Can you tell me how much stuff must I re download after your bring up main. Also about the mini installer auto patching -  is there a manual patch up provided seeing how the old patcher caused issues? I guess I ll experiment with it when the dload is done but please understand My download speed varies about 16-30kb/s This stuff is too huge to go wasted.

If you already have a fully patched sdata.grf (last patch was in June or July 2009), you already have the biggest file on your computer, so you just need the Mini Setup (around 300 MB, due to the size of the rdata.grf ... why the fuck is it 300 MB?! Last time I used it, it was only around 170 MB? Damn Gravity and their huge patches! D: ). BGM folder is not really needed, just take it from your old folder if you want to listen to the BGM.

As for the patcher issue: I just downloaded the mini setup to see which patcher is being used now, and it's a new patcher, Thor Patcher to be exact. Using http instead of ftp, so you should give it a try!

I know, but unfortunately, that 300 MB file is needed in order to be able to play. :/ Use a download manager if all else fails, and download during the night, etc.

Well, if you do not have a Ragnarok_RE.exe, you probably just took the rdata.grf from another folder and put it in your main RO folder. As for the smaller size, well, then yours isn't completely updated. Keep in mind that Gravity continuously adds new stuff to the rdata.grf, but kRO's already on renewal mechanics, and the rdata.grf currently contains files that are not yet needed. But for the future, you should always make sure to patch your rdata.grf with Ragnarok_RE.exe. If you have fast internet, just download the latest mini setup from the announcement topic, and you're good to go.

You probably used the old mini-installer (didn't have the most-updated version of rdata.grf, nor the patchers animuspatch.exe and ragnarok_RE.exe integrated into it). Not that big a deal, if everything is running fine, but I suggest you get the new mini-installer at some point just to make sure you can update rdata.grf if patches for it come out.

Trying this.I ll toss in all the files in to my existing aRO folder for which I used till the main went down. There are no other beta related files with me so this installer will be the only thing related to the beta I will have.

hey razer i also have very low inter net speed 30kbps to 45 kbps i kept my pc on for 3 nights and i downloaded the whole 1.61 gb aro that was given by gm haine just keep ur pc on nothing will happpen to it and use dap it increses ur download speed u can pause ur files to....
