Valk camping?

I've heard it said that most of the money lies in the hands of the Valk campers, more than once. I have a few questions about this.

Is it possible to solo this epically lucrative MvP, and if so, what class, and with which gears? And is it close to impossible to get it to yourself? (Lord of Death, for example >.>)

I've also heard that guilds exist for the sole purpose of killing it over and over again; is that true? o_o

10 Smiths make 5M a day. 50M total. One Valk armor takes all of that 50M in a single pop. No one collects and keeps niff money- its spent out on better gears. Valk armors were 100M+ back before they were un donateable - this is how much coveted Valkyrie gears are. Also , there a lot of old and new Valkyrie campers that dominate the richest player slots. Donaters are not the richest players for 2 reasons.One, They have Ads and not zenys - few Ads sold per day is good since you can grab more zeny per Ad but that way its slow to make a ton of zeny. Lets say a donater gets 500 Ads and tries to sell them at one time - He'd probably make them cheaper to get his or her zeny. In short , the pries of Ads fall with that much cash flowing at one time.

Two , competition exists everywhere. Lets say 2 Big donaters appear and say they both have 1000 Ads each to sell. This will take time and to beat the other guy on sales both of them will slowly lower rates and offer cheaper ADs if you buy a larger amount.

Older Valkyrie Campers have billions of zeny lying around. Go and take a look in the buying threads - Make a not of all players buying Godlike gears like +7 Sqis - They'd turn out to mostly Valkers . Some would be donaters all right but mostly Valkers.

Donating is the easiest way to get rich but not the best . That still belongs to in game methods. Every object has a zeny value and a time to sell value to it. And all of us want the former to be bigger and the latter to be smaller

Statistics are your friend sometimes - they make you feel good anyway XD.

Average 1 hour niffing in crowded timezone = 1.5M/hr ,2M/hr if you sell leeches too
4 hours a day of play      6M or 8M
30 Days of play =     180M or 240M per month.

Add 1 more hour of grinding(per day) to the above and see the figures shoot up by huge proportions.
If you make more then 2M per hour then hoho.
If you play in an non crowded timezone then wow.

Niffing and Valking earn the same amounts per month but - Valking is faster since you just need to do it 5 mins per 2 hours. Niffing guarantees you the spoils but then you have to put in huge amounts of work. Yes Work since this is a South Korean MMO lol.

Okay. If you get MVP, then why would it be hard to pick up the loot? Loots have character priority for whoever got MVP, don't they?

You can make more money overall camping MVPs like Stormy Knight.
Valk armors have been steadily declining in prices recently, and are now around 45mill, some have even been underpriced for less.

Sure you can camp valk day and night (like some valk squads), but your chances of getting a worthy drop (like a manteu or armor or the more easily sold card) are extremely slim, and even if Valk does wind up dropping something, it's a race between you and the squads.

Also, if you wind up joining a pro squad, you'll usually be subject to taking 6-12 hour shifts and/or a sort of round robin system. So now imagine finally killing valk, and beating everyone to the drop.
Guess what? Its not yours, since it's someone else's turn to get the loot, and you still have 3 more people ahead of you to get drops.
Don't get me wrong though, it's a fair pooling system and you're guaranteed drops, but it's not really worth it if you're looking to make loads of zeny these days.

So really, these days Valking is just a decent side income and only something to engage in if you've already got a good main source of income, or already have a decent sized wallet.



Back in the day though, it was the way to make billions, since you had the warmth glitch to abuse and little competition.
However as I said before, that just isn't the case anymore.

You used to be able to stack the heat skill.
You could drop a heat on valk, high jump away and she'd still get hit by it as if you were standing right next to her.
This used to cause terrible lag though, since multiple SGs would do it, and it even crashed the zone server a few times.
A small price to pay for an easy 60-100m though.

(Back in the day, Valk shields were around 60m, manteus around 70, and armors were 100)

it was quite funny when fighting valk
However the times is awful.. for me that is...

And if u want succesfull valk guild then you need members who doesnt forget her...

If there were some other objects worth farming and not available in cash shop or available for real high amounts then it would be worthwhile farming them. The cash shop acts as a cap over most objects. Although no more reason to complain on this since new cards are plenty around now. The next episode stuff like meteor plates[1] should be made non cash shop based. So that people would farm them and make a decent amount of zeny for it. People would then perhaps dump niff for better places.

That won't happen. It was already proven with the newer MvP cards which were not intended to be donatable but ended up being that way O_o;
