Sad Emblem and Skin Questions

Hello aRO community...I'm back with two more problems ^^;

Ok here I go...so a few days ago I learned you can get new skins for your interface 
I went to RO Empire and found a skin that I really liked and followed the steps to download it and everything but I still can't get it to work... 
Here's what I did:

1. Found the Skin at RO Empire(CatBlue is the one)
2. Downloaded it
3. Made a folder in my directory titled "skin"(without quotes obviously)
4. Saved the skin in that folder
5. Checked to make sure it saved there
6. Opened RO to turn it on but it wasn't in the drop down menu. All I had was "Default" and "Scribbling Kid"(or whatever it's called lol )

I tried a few more times(with other skins) but eventually gave up figuring, "Hey, it's just a skin. I can live without it ^^ "

But then my friend made a guild and wanted an emblem for it. She explained to me what an emblem was and stuff(give me a break...I'm still new here @_@ ) and I told her "Hey! I wanna try and make you one " Siiince...I dunno she's been really nice to me and I wanted to make her an emblem XD But when I made it and put it in the "Emblem" folder I made it didn't show up either. (She allowed me on the guild leader character >.<) Here's what I did...

1. Sized the emblem to 24x24.
2. Made it XD
3. Saved it as bmp(256 color pixels)
4. Moved it to my "Emblem" folder
5. Logged onto Guild Leader
6. Opened up guild window
7. Clicked edit...but nothing happened @_@



Of course I can email her the emblem. Of course I can play without a skin...but I just wanna know how come these things are not working when I can swear I'm doing everything right >.< (aren't I?). And if they don't work...who knows what other problems I might have in the future XD

Sooo...can someone out there help a still new girl out? ^^

Question, why do you make another "skin" folder?... it should be there already. It consists "default" and "scribbling kid" folder.
You have to make another folder named "put the name skin here" inside "skin" folder and put everyhing you downloaded  there.
Basically, you should make the same format as "default" and "scribbling kid" folder.
Guild emblem... the folder name should be "emblem" not "Emblem"

Well I tried it as a both lower case and upper case. My most recent attempt was with uppercase soooo...sorry about that. ^^;

As for your skin question...I really don't know any other way to answer that than, I was just trying to find a solution to my problem and remade the folder o.o

Hmmm...I don't like giving this advice to anyone but ya know...when all else fails you should try uninstall and reinstall.

I know for some people its an annoying solution but it might be your only solution? Maybe messing around with your skin folder(i.e. remaking it) did something to screw you up. I dunno. Like I said I hate giving this as advice >.<
Try kolela's solution and if that doesn't work maybe you should uninstall and reinstall.

After you have reinstalled DO NOT delete your skin folder to try and "remake" it. Do as kolela said and put your skin there. Follow the "default" and "Scribbling Kid" pattern.

If you do not and only if you do not have a skin folder when you reinstall then add one like the guides say.(But you should have one when you reinstall  )

As for your little Emblem problem:

Truth be told I had no idea that it mattered if you capitalized it or not XD But hey...try putting it in lower case again. If that doesn't work...again uninstall/reinstall
 And when I say "again" I mean try every solution for both your problems then uninstall/reinstall.
Trust me...I've confused people before so I wanted to make myself clear...
So yeah once you reinstall try making the "emblem" the first time and add your emblem there. I know you know this alread but make sure to do the following:

1. The pic is 24x24
2. Pic is in 256 color pixel bmp
3. Also...if you want something to be transparent keep in mind the colors RGB values are 255, 0, 255(if that confuses you pm me.)

And then -inhales- After you've done EVERYTHING posted here including uninstall/reinstall...

Come back here and tell what happened. Ya know...if it worked or not. -crosses fingers-

Oh no uninstall/reinstall? D: I really don't want to...but if I have to I will...

What do you mean by "try making the "emblem" the first time and add your emblem there" ? Do you mean make the folder with a lowercase "e" the first time? I assume that's what you mean. XD

And thanks for replying again to my post Starla XD Going off-topic I tried to pm you in game but you are never on XD I can never find you...I saw you vending(your WS is cute >W< )but you had blocked off all whispers...=/

Back on topic...I will try kolela's solutions and then *gulp* your solution. And I will report back here. It might take awhile so please do keep checking back =(

I am on...actually all the time(shut up...I have a life it's just drowning in snow at the moment)
However these days I am on my ninja. Her name is Ayazumi. Also it might help you to know I live on the East Coast...I dunno we might have a time difference or something.
As for the whisper thingy...I get the stupidest trade requests for items I don't wanna trade for...I just wanna sell them and get them out of my possession...and I don't appreciate my chat log being filled up with random comments from noobs while vending...so I block whispers. XD Try pming Ayazumi when your on.

Back on-topic...I'm sorry my solution is a smidgen extreme XD But I won't rest until your problem is solved ;3

At least you can ask your friend to upload the original "skin" folder.
I am not sure what you are missing. All is inside anthemro folder right?

My directory meaning the ragnaork directory right...

Most people have it as "C:/Program Files/Gravity/Raganarok"

In the Raganarok folder there should be a folder name "skin" and "emblem"

For me my raganarok directory is like this "D:/Games/AnthemRO"...

Hopefully, Neko-chan(btw can I keep calling you that XD ) will post her directory as well. Maybe if she does it will help us solve her problem. That is if uninstall/reinstall doesn't fix it first.

I believe my directory is the same as Starla's(which yes you can call me Neko-chan I don't mind at all :3 )

C:/Program Files/Gravity/RO but I'll double check when its done installing. (I had to fix an error on my computer before it would install...long story short its almost done.)
I'll post again/edit this post when its done and I've tried again.

EDIT: It didn't work @_@ It's basically the same as when I uninstalled it completely...actually it IS the same as when I uninstalled it XD Anymore suggestions? I'm out of ideas now...I mean like I said I can live without skins and being able to upload emblems. I don't plan on making any guild anytime soon. Just am worried this might cause further problems in the future.

Hopeful Skin Solution:
1. Go to C:/Games/Gravity/AnthemRO/
2  There should be a "skin" folder there
3. Download your skin (CatBlue...good choice) to that folder.
4. Load up RO

Same goes for emblem
1.Save your emblem in the emblem folder in the same directory.
2. Load up RO and edit guilds emblem

I basically just restated Linuxs post I believe. Just to the point you and anyone else who reads this with the same issue will get it. Your only problem was you had the wrong directory XD (I don't mess around with skins and emblems so I wouldn't of caught it in a million years)

Also...the only other way that saving to the wrong RO directory would mess you up(the only other way I can think of) is if you were an alchemist and you had a custom homunc AI.

That being said I can't believe I didn't see your problem sooner XD -looks at siggy-
Seeing as I have a homunc myself and I JUST finished setting up his AI again today while I was waiting for your reply(that and I made that neat little gif of Miku, Neru, and Teto XD)
