that i am doing i think i have found the conclusion to the problem though...

windows 7 is actualy build for x64 and there are some issues with the 32 bit client part... thus if you want your ragnarok to work 100% you best get the X64 version of windows 7

its quite simple realy windows xp was made for x32 the x64 version was realy hard to work for some people for me it was easy.
so this means that i need to up grade thiese bad boys of mine (my lowest pc having a score of 6.8 average and my higher end pc 7.3) to the 64 bit version.

so in short i found the problem and hopefully the fix...

i will keep you guys posted.

PS any hardware or software support you need feel free to ask me I am a serious boffin with this and have had many years of experiance with computers ,servers and networks.

I had this problem too, while trying to run RO on a friend's laptop. I put it down to crappy netspeeds at the time, though. However, he's running WoW at playable speeds, so that can't be it. Is there any solution other than having to upgrade your hardware? (Kinda difficult with a laptop)

its not the hardware infact its the operating system in it self so you could go to the manufacturar and get a X64 licence for that laptop if it is a 64 bit pc if not the next best thing is to downgrade to xp again microsoft has screwed us all ...

or maybe if the guys at RO just make a compatible version of RO to win 7 it would work...

Okay...you do know there's a program called Anthem_Win7.exe, right? :X It's in the RO folder, did you try that out?

yeah I did but the problem is when I play RO is verry laggy its like something on the networking side is going ape shaped I have tested all my stuff and everything is working 100% when however I play on a PC with XP on it RO is 100% working...

thus letting me get to this conclusion

its not ip V 6
its not the Firewall
its not my Router
its not my hardware
its not my software

it is a combonation of the win7.exe program and windows 7 32 thats giving me a hard time its not like I dont like windows 7 its just the way it is

thus i made my computer dule boot windows 7 and windows XP I allocated 30 GB to windows XP and 207GB to windows 7 and guess what ?
its working fine for me.

the VPC for windows 7 doesnt work because the RO program does not reconize the resolution or GPU your working with.
so in short i got the VM from the web both downloads and i have setup my own VM that didnt seem to work eather so yeah...

screwed over by MS yet again... sad realy

1)  Make sure your RO folder isn't in Program Files.  Move it to C:\Games\ or something.  You'll have to make the folders.
2)  Right click on the folder, and go to properties.  Uncheck read only, and after a minute it'll finish.  Go into the folder, and find a file called
Code: [Select]
patch_allow.txt  Open it up, and make sure it says
Code: [Select]
Allow  After you save it if you need to change it right click the file and go into properties.  Make it read only.
3)  Go into the security tab in the properties menu for the RO folder, and click on "Edit".  Find [Name]/[Name]-PC and click on the check-box that says Allow All.
