I keep hearing about how wizards should get them.

why would valk helm contribute to instant cast? 

anyway its:

staff of magi gives 10 dex (assumption you can afford the sqi), you can also cast +5 bless with staff of magi on yourself with more than 40 str on your wiz/hwiz character.
2x sting gloves for 10 dex.
you can also try upgrading the quad drop rods for a drop survivor rod that gives you +4 dex and (int bonus)

gargoyle + 2 stings + kaho + quad drops rods + moonsoon garment+ rocker armor gives you 45 dex, if you equip these

Those will not give a wizard instant cast, just faster cast. It goes towards reducing a percentage of the time it takes to cast - dex is much more economical, in my opinion. You can even hunt down most of the cards yourself (stem, gargoyle, sting, rocker, etc)

Job level bonus:  6 on wizard IIRC
Headgears and cards for headgears:
Kaho Horns:  +20 dex
Apple of Archer:  +4 dex
Accessories and cards for accessories:
Sting card (accessory card):  4 dex each
Glove (slotted accessory):  1 dex each
Celebration ring (unslotted accessory):  +5 to all stats (including dex)
Brys (SQI accessory):  +5 to all stats (including dex)
Shoes and cards for shoes:
Gargoyle card (shoes card):  5 dex
Moonlight flower card (shoes card):  5 dex plus fast walking speed
Weapons and cards for weapons:
Drops card (weapon card):  1 dex each
Dex Survivors Rod (one slotted rod):  3 dex, +15% MATK, +400 hp (put a drops card in to make it 4 dex)
Rod (four slotted rod):  nothing, but if you can't afford the survivors rod get this and put four drops cards in
Staff of Magi (Wizard Class SQI):  +10 dex, and with some base str it provides level 10 bless so you can get another +10 that way
Armors and cards for armors:
Rocker card (armor card):  1 dex
Garments and cards for garments:
Stem worm card (garment card):  5 dex


I'm probably missing something, but that's all the things I know of that give dex for wizard class.  Pick and choose, depending on how much money you have.  IC is pretty expensive, but if you have that kind of money it's not hard to hit 150 dex.

Apparently there are also Orleans gloves (I was a nub back when I wrote this, so I didn't know about that) and other things; you can also get a bless if you're in a party with a priest, and that will give you 10 dex if they have it maxed out - also there are stat foods, which you can harvest if you have a blazer card and melee class or purchase from people, and those give you from +1 to +10 dex.  They aren't worth spending the money on though, unless you actually can get IC with them.

The possible gears are a little different for other classes (for example, priest has the bless skill, so it can get IC at a lower base dex even without any party members; also its SQI provides 20 dex up front instead of the 10 plus bless level 10 with some base str, as the wizzie SQI does).
