What happens to your homunculus when you reach lvl 99 and turn into high novice?

it goes into nothingness and when you change back into bio, you use call homunculus and it will be back

Notthing happens, it'll be there if you decide to change into a bio and when you call it, it will be the same as it was before.

I was told before transing my 99 alchy that it would have to be in the "rest" state or it wouldnt be there after trans. I dont know if theres even any truth to it or not but maybe just to be sure?

I never used the rest state because the description says it destroys the homunculus

it just puts it to sleep, you can call it back again with call homunculus
