Garm Armor

Is it even the least bit useful?

I'm debating on whether it'd be better to keep it or sell it.  I've been using it for Niff, but it seems that using a disguise armor would be better.  DEF is nice and all, but I don't see much use for the Garm armor.

Ive debated this myself. And Disguise is imo the best card for armor for niff.

I say keep it, but for another use. And card a Disguise in a chainmail or padded.

Well, I all ready have both in +7 Mink's.  The armor's heavy, but wearable by all classes.

I'm just debating on what the use of a Garm armor would be.  I don't see the benefit in pvp with GR and status armors being the most common there.  PvM maybe?

and on this note: PC > +7 Garm Mink

To me, Garm chainmail is good to use on maps with mid~high-levelled heavy-hitting neutral monsters like OwlDukes and Medusas. Status armours might be better choice on most occasions though. *shrugs*

EDIT: Forgot to mention earlier that if you're stingy with using meats, damage reduction gears are the way to go.

Pure DEF is only great when reaching a certain number and beyond. If you can't reach 80+ DEF, I'd say don't even bother having a Garm.

It's a specialty route in my opinion, so I feel you would be better off just relying on Reductions instead. Example for Nif; Bathory/Evil Druid, Tirfing, Deviling.

Obviously having those in some nice +7's or greater will be an added bonus. Since alteast average DEF combined with full Reductions will be better then just full Reductions in +4 or lower crap for lousy DEF.
