I never really understood the point of discounts.

The ad prices just inflate to match the discounts. Hooray for pricks.

Unless it's meant to benefit donators only? Which is pretty bullshit for the people who can't donate.

server needs money, discounts are a donation incentive regardless of who can do it.

maybe the gm's predicted a rise in ads due to the gift boxes(or whatever special event that needed ads) so they discounted everything else to match

but people tend to raise the ad prices to basically negate the discount is you're buying your ads, so what good does it do?

well technically in the beginning it worked...ads were like 900k+ in a day for the xmas boxes. altough it shoulda ended ages ago
