LK or champ?

ok, im not sure what class i should go for.
i want to make eitehr an LK or champ but i wanna know the pros and cons of each in terms of pvp, pvm, amount of cash needed to gear it, and other such things   =/

i dont know what to make. I just need peoples opinions. please and thank you!

if you got limited z ,go for LK..for me ,champ need good gear to be good..
at least dex gear that able you to cast fast

Lks are more expensive to gear when it comes down to gear .
champ gears are fixed and their weapon switches are cheap.

Lks require more skill to play as well. Being A SP spammer is pointless.
Champs require skills and precise switching and snapping.
Skill wise they are both matched.

PVM wise. Well champs have asura and they can kill stuff in LH3 for the cheapest resources used.
LKs can Thor better. As well as Lks have inherent mob moves as well.

Lks are more fun to play.

how champ can asura in lh3 if they got slow cast time?
and i think LK is more easy to lvl since the skill such as brandish spear can kill mob effectively with regular gear..
for me ,champ with slow cast time not really effective in pvp/woe..
and for thor ,depend on your budget too..i dont think you can survive there without at least dev ,gtb and fire armor

Dev(18M), fire armours (200k), Approrpriate shield - I think its penomena - not sure(5M)
and a pike with race/element combo cards coated with Ice endow should be enough.
or a Poleaxe with an anti fire card for SP.

well SP not really good skill to use in thor..the SP delay need you to run and keep SP again..
even with Nibel ,you need to use 4 SP to kill one kasa..w/o nibel ,you would need to SP more..
yeah penomena reduce dmge in thor but i more love gtb..you can block two skill that kasa usually use as their initial attack..
and with good gear ,you can kill kasa before kasa able to spiral you..
i never saw the LK w/o at least doppel gear in thor ftw..

LK - Valk helm/Kaho, Nib, Megs/Celeb/Brys, etc
Champ - Kaho, Suik, Celebs/Sting Brys [I think a lot of megs are around because of the -25% asura nerf]

in the end Lk>Champ in Price.
Lk>Champ over lvling. Except After 90+ lk's cant handle lh3 like champ can.
Lk>Champ over versatility in woe.
Champ>Lk over pure raw power.


I guess it just depends on what you like if you have really good friends in RO and maybe borrow their charac to play and get a feel for it.

I actually like playing both equally. its both fun and different. good luck on choosing.

yeah both actually really well gear require somewhat about the same stuff,

Armor wise for both depends on what place you go. so it's all about where you want to go lvl

nibb = suiken in price now days since the meg nerf down they gave for champ so i've seen less champs.
DL Sleips = for both you can switch around with valk shoes depending on what you are doing.
kaho for champ and Wild Valk helm for LK i would say. so there LK is more expensive.
Mid head gear for champ Di AwE or macho man glasses which i find way better.
lower head gear PCB for every class
Shield Toad and GTB + tirfing or khalitz for both
Accessories well... LK meg + Berze brys < Dual Sting Brys for champ
garment is just like the shield. and armor depends on where you go. people use devi for LH3 with champ and for both for Thors. NEVER for WoE. but champs i think monsson most of the time.

Both are great and i kind of find LK to lvl cheaper then Champ but it does lvls slower tha champ.

WoE. Both are great... champ do have tons of skills to use and are usefull for warping and killing emp attackers.
                                 LK is a great emp breaker an dies hardly if you got the gears for it. and has tons of HP. spiral pears is great against everyone. and can also do damage from distance.

so it comes down to what you like the most after trying them both out. i love champ more i would say since they need my full attention at all times. like for LH3.
LKs give you more of a chance to get distracted since you have tons of HP. and are a bit easier since you most likely wont need to use Battle Mode which for champs is a MUST. and some people find BM hard to learn but once you get use to it helps tons of people. for many difference classes.

What are we talking about here?  Because to get the "ultimate gears" depends on what you want to use them for, and there are a lot of different things you can do with either class.  On an extremely limited budget, I think LK is a lot better for PvM and possibly also for PvP/WoE (although PvP/WoE without expensive gears is really a joke).  If you want godly gears, yes it will be expensive, but that's true for either class and it still depends on what build you're using (obviously if you want to be able to use any build you'll need more gears, which will cost more - the sky is the limit for gears, for example you might want an overupped nib or several nibs with different cardings).

My opinion is that for lower end (no MvP cards or only one or two) LK is going to be better, but for upper end it depends on your skills and preferences, either class could be equally fun and useful as long as you have the gears for it.  It's really entirely up to you, and you should probably try them (or at least non-trans equivalents) to see what playing style you like.  Kind of hard to make a decision about a class you haven't even tried (and if you haven't PvMed with it at least into the 70s, you haven't really experienced the class yet).

ive tried monk and knight into like lvl 80 =/

im not extremely limited in cash though.
i already have puppy kahos, DL sleips,dex gears,GTB and good daggers for sin  x (+10 DDP +9 TTS, etc.)

ill probably go with champ on what you guys have said since it looks like i got some of the basic makings of a champ already. more comments appreciated thoguh
