New Guy Here, Slight Lag?

Im getting a pretty annoying 1 second delay on everything I do on this server. I love this server and its awesome but that lag is very annoying and hindering, is there any setting I can tweak or is it just my locaation or perhaps even just an occasional thing. Anyone? Ty.

i do get some lagg spikes too on a specific time of the day but you can try and make sure you are not running any other program in your computer that might lagg you or maybe its just your internet?

Turn off fire wall, Norton / Mcafee autoprotect

It's caused by a lot of things; your internet connection, computer capacity, server connection(?) etc. Sometimes I lag, sometimes not. =T
Typing /effect helps reduce the lag. Also, turn off other programs that may be running.

Some days I lag, some days its perfect.
The thing is its my connection thats laggy most of the time, not the server.. Make sure your not running other things.. And if your computer cant take large crowds like WoE or Pr0ntera then use /aura and /lightmap and /mineffect if needed.. Or use /effect, though I don't recommend since you cant see skills like Storm Gust >_>
