Insta-Cast?

two questions.

1) anyone know, on the real server, a friend told me that insta-cast can be gained just through stats. Is that true/why isnt it like that here?

2) Besides a Kaho, what gears can i get to give me insta-cast?

For IC you need 150 dex or 100% cast reductions, any item that gives you + dex can be used to gain IC, I believe the only classes that can get IC w/o kahos is the super novice, the pally/sader (cast reduction gears with aegis), and priest/highpriest (with evang to get 150 dex)

Good items to get IC are Sting gloves (or brys or celebs), monsoon muffler, gargoyle shoes (or valks if you absolutely need that 5 pts in dex (rather have DL), quad drops weapon, Rocker armor if you absolutely are insane or need that last pt (I'd rather have 149 and a status armor imho), bless level 10, and wine of belgirmir or other +dex stat foods.

cast reduction gears: 2 Berz clips (or brys), DL/DI combo, these are the most used ones, the only way to truely get IC from here is either from a bragi from a clown or if you're a sader/pally have an aegis.

Super novice can achieve instant cast through stats and its skills without the needs of kaho (bless, improve conc, owl eye, etc).


As for 'just stats' i have no idea what you're referring to cause that's really vague @_@


As for getting instant cast, you could get it with 150 dex or 100% cast reduction.

At the moment, the orleans set (the shield and glove) isn't released, but when it does, it will allow for a slightly cheaper way of getting instant cast without any dex investment.

...you could get an SQI instead of a kaho?

But for the most part, +dex gears are what give you instant cast. (which is 150 total dex)

What is a real server though? I know some high rate servers allow players to build more than 99 base stat points. Here, 99 is the max thus you have to rely on bonus stats. But in any server, I/C can be archived by 150 Dex, and thats stats...

I dont think its possible for any class other then SN on the real(official server) to get IC. Its possible to get near IC with Suffragium skill though.

He says that gets us IC.  True, or not?  (I've not used the IC gears on my priestess, cause she's a baby. >.>)

if i'm not mistaken you could even change one of the +5dex things into something else...if you have 99 dex you have 148 dex with your equip + the bonus of the class...i'm not sure how much it is but more than 2 for sure...

Probably not since that 20+10+4+5+10= 49, for a baby your stats are maxed at 80 unless you got your dex to 99 BEFORE adoption, and even then you're at 148 dex

Well, his isn't a baby.  I'm in the process of making another priestess, so I can try and go for IC, with those gears.  What am I missing then?  Because I have the Moonlight Dex shoes, but how do you Niff without eddgas? =/

you can take eddgas...you'll still have more than enough dex...at least with a priestess...

Sorry, I wasn't meaning to.  Yeah, my husband just showed me.  It would be at like 153, we figured out.  Just gotta get high enough to max Dex first. xD

you probably have just enough with a priestess with the stat bonuses, just make sure to micromanage, and you'd prolly not get IC till the late 80s or 90s
