Ore Downgrading Quest

So I've done most of the quest so far, I just gave the Mr. Smile to the Tribal Chief. I head back to the skeletal gate NPC and I can't figure out which gems to put in, I tried red in the left and blue in the right but it just won't work. What gems do I need to put in for it to work?

Blue, yellow and red. ;o Just test around. It took me forever too.

it's random each trip
and sometime it's blue/blue, red/red, yellow/yellow

Thanks, at least now I'll know to do it in bulk because it's so annoying.

yeah i tried it before and im sure it was random cuz i tried the combo stated on some quest guides and it didnt work  After a few random combination i finally got in

You only need 1 of each gemstone.

And i tried the combination it says on the quest page: Red then Blue (or was it Blue then Red >.>)

And it worked the first time i tried it :3

Ummm yea,it was still the same combination,but after you complete the quest,you no longer need the gemstones...
