Reducing holy light/Magic Crasher (Evang priest)

What's the best to use against a warpportal/evang priest in pvp?
Not to beat him, just to make his damage fail.

High MDef, Angeling armor, OL/Marc-water armor, something else maybe?

 With gtb, use a marc water armor and a marse hood, then swap the armor to angeling if he asperios.
Without gtb, angeling+marse reduces magic damage to a minimal and the toad kills melee damage.
Then again, there are alot of things a high priest can do other than crasher/bolt/holy and smacking. Beware of weapon swaps :3

And so I don't see much of a point in using a cat-o-nine footgear only because the chance of it reflecting is very low and in addition the spells reflected back on the high-priest should do very low damage and they would just end up healing themself.

 Ops, I meant things that lowers the magic resistance.
Since damage reflection is based off of the damage the player would take. Assumptio and what equips the high priest is wearing wouldn't reduce reflection.

 Its only useful if your too poor to afford things to reduce the damage (a full reflection set is pretty expensive in itself, but some of it is common grinding gear) and looking for laughs. Since as you said, the chance is low so you'll probably take around 9 2k-3k per bolt ice bolts before a reflection triggers.
