There are things like wine to get windows stuff running on linux, maybe its possible to run RO with it o.o

I've seen it around, but not as a Linux version, it was Linux running Windows and then in windows it was running RO.

Seems like so much hastle just for RO

Rolan used Ubuntu 8.04. I tried it as well with an openSuse 11.0 distribution (and with wine, of course), and it worked (I was able to log in and walk through Prontera), but it was reeeeeeeeally slow.
