Properties?

I keep seeing cards that enchant armor with different properties (holy, poison, etc.).  What does this to to the armor when it is enchanted with a property of some sort?

Basically what these cards do is change the property of yourself when you wear the armor. So if you wear fire enchanted armor, fire property attacks do less damage to you.

Some also make you immune to certain status effects.

For Example; the Marc card will stop your from freezing. You'll still recieve the damage from a skills like Stormgust,
and frost driver, But you won't freeze from it. It is a very valuable card for War of Emperium, because most people will try to freeze you
before using a strong damage dealing move, like Asura, or Acid demonstration.
