Item Recovery Question?
« on: June 27, 2008, 11:42:42 am »
ok at the end of the night, for the most part, I put all my items on one char. So I knwo exactly where everything is. I'm curious what if that account gets hacked and then my stuff is gone? or if I don't put them there one night and leave them on another char and when I go to that char if they're gone, exactly how would that work out? I have pictures of my gear holder but that doesn't help much if they get hacked while they're not on that char, now does it. so I'm just curious. I've known one to many people who've been hacked. So I just want to keep my gears safe. And obviously don't share passwords I got that one.

If you haven't given your password out, and you got screenies as a prove, recovery should be free.
Just like scam cases ;o

Ok so lets say that I gear my priestess one night and leave the gears there, and my Smith holds my gears normally. Then I come back to play my priestess and the gears are gone.
So even though I don't have pictures of my priestess holding the items or having them in her inventory, I can get them back, cause I have a picture of them on my Smith? /hmm

ok ^^ I'm assuming that it's all logged. so I couldn't imagine it being to hard considering they're both mine. and I should really on be registered under two general IPs  So that makes sense. I was just afraid that it would be like nope you don't have a picture of your char with your gears that lost them so you're SOL. Good to know ^^ thank you.

You don't need to take screen shots of trades between your own characters.
Don't make the whole item recovery thing more complicated than it needs to be.
Simply follow the item recovery rules and you won't have a problem.

As long as you haven't given out your account information to anyone, then you should be safe. People truly getting their information "hacked" almost never happens. It inevitably turns out that such claims of hacking were actually the result of passwords being given to friends or guild mates that the player thought they could trust.
