Laggy log-in screen.

After re-installing the game my log-in screen became slow and the letters I type appear only after a while. It's a minor problem, but does anyone know how to fix this?

Vista perhaps?
I have it as well. Any sound playing will also stutter on every key being pressed and if I type too quick, it'll mess up by typing certain things double. On top of that it also likes to completely freeze Windows on random moments :)

I remember this happening to me. When I first installed, I could type easily and normal. When I had to reinstall due to a bit of an itchy delete finger, the log in screen was laggy .-.
