Archer Dex stat plan?

I was following advice to max out Dex for an archer ASAP but whilst it was leveling, I don't notice any damage differences. Anyone can help me out on this why that is? I'm a level 20 archer and I do roughly the same damage as when I was starting out.

You'll only notice damage increases in stat increments of 10.

As you gain levels, you'll get stronger bows, equips and skills such as Double Straifing.

Furthermore, if you use the correct elemental arrow on a monster you can do upwards of 100% - 200% damage depending on the monster. I recommend going to Payon Dungeon with Holy arrows.
