Keep getting disconnected. Help.

Hiyo all. I recently downloaded AnthemRO to my new computer and I keep getting annoyingly disconnected.

Any help with this would be lovely. Here's a screenshot of it.

Does this happen when you just have your aRO open (so don't have other programs open) or in any particular circumstance in-game or is this a happens every 5 minutes thing?

It happens about every five to ten minutes I'd say.

I've tried playing RO with no other programs in use and I still get constantly disconnected.

Did a quick search and didn't find good news

Note that this server has not had the best stability. Aegis is not quite bulit correctly to handle what goes on here, and therefore, players can recieve random d/c's or Failures To Connect, even if they are running a T1 line, on a newly installed XP Pro SP2, with high quality computer components, with nothing else installed on the computer but AnthemRO, and no anti-virus software, or firewalls or parental controls.

It's just not possible for everyone to have perfect stability with this server, unfortunately.

Now to those who come in saying "BUT ACEJAY, Aegis is infinitely more stable than other emulators, etc," guess what? We don't have the most up-to-date Aegis Version. We don't have the code that enables iRO to have MANY more players than we do online. We just don't.

The best we can do is hope that Talis somehow discovers a magical line of code that would let us play lag-free.

Donations won't exactly help, since we're already running on the best server money can buy, practically.

Better wait to see what a GM or someone else thinks.

it's still happening with her >=  We tried downloading Dyefire and Lora's still having issues with it D/cing her every 5 minutes for server gap.

Her sakray and patcher are fully updated too..

How about firewalls? Or maybe running it as administrator? The disconnect message sounds familiar.. -___-

Actually on Anthem Forums it's on of the less common problems.

I have the same problem and a guildie as well.
Yesterday I got D/C'd 3 times in a row...
I was triple clienting so that could be a reason.
But when I just opened a single client, I still got time gapped 10 minutes later...
It just gets really annoying. Especially if you're in kiels dungeon and you die because of the time gap and you get disconnected.
That's happened twice to me so far...

Her problem happened before though but with the server back it should help.

no she's still getting disconnected every 10 minutes.  it's really getting bothersome x.x; and she's checked her internet and it's fine, and her computer is perfectly capable of playing RO

What country does she live in? Unfortunately, what AceJay says doesn't exactly hold true or else the whole server would be coming down a lot more often than once in a while. Everyone would be experiencing that problem if it was a software or ISP problem on our end.

she just usually doesn't come onto the forums, so I'm relaying her information

She's played on RO before and never had such an issue and even called her internet provider and reset her connection to be sure it wasn't that.

I made sure her sakray and anthem patcher is up to date and she's not using the new client ( as far as I know )

I live in Kentucky, USA and I get Disconnected QUITE OFTEN every day... especially when vending ><

it's so annoying...

I can't friggin' do anything ><
