I've got both a HW and a prof, and I can definitely say that prof > HW (not power-wise, but more in the usefulness of the class). In woe, you can of course use LP(land protector) to support your allies who don't have a GTB, use WoF(wall of fog) to protect yourself and allies vs long ranged attacks(makes AD, SB, SP miss 75% of the time and reduces long ranged damage by 75% too!), spider web ennemies to hold them back and to deal twice more damage with fire bolt and can also be some sort of support skill if you're working with a team who's gonna rape the spider webbed ennemies. You can also soul burn to sucks ennemies' sp, especially champs whose asura power depends on sp amount(makes them waste gjs), HD for mass damage and uncloak stalkers, dispell all ennemies to remove nearly all their buffs(really useful vs sinx and LKs). That's roughly what a scholar can do.
High Wizard is however easier to lvl up because you can ice wall mvps. Gravitational field is a really really good skill for woe, and works as a support skill to kill people who have GTB or insane mdef/def. However, HW tends to be boring because you spend your day SGing/JTing. Sure they're powerful skills but it just gets boring xD lol.
