i dont think the choices really matter, i got tired of looking for that tiny Chaun in that mega huge map. I got 2 last gold coins and i got a 4leaf clover in my last try! =D i got what i wanted i guess. i want the +5 too...but is a pain to get to find him.

I had a similar issue, at the start I would get one each Niff Mob, now I get one every other mob  ... Then again, looking for that Mr. Chaun made it pointless for me, as looking for it was even more difficult. Haven't even seen Mr. Chaun.... Lol Even with the help of the PR directly warping you to the NPC when you brought he PR a couple things like 5 Jellopies >_>

lol, i walk around with a beginner's mace and a spirited sakura on that map and get at least 1 coin before i find that thing. works perfectly

On the first day, I did the quest for 3 hours. Second day an hour or two. 20+ ales, 3 lucky hat, 2 lower mid gear, 8 scrolls and a bunch of zeny scrolls. Try harder.

Ever did one of the Christmas quest where you have to camp one and only Zherlthsh in the server that dropped Evil Pointed Ear? That's more ridiculous than this.

That can be the picture if you have no fast move and must walk to find him.
You pretty much must have fast move and tele clip or use an aco class with increase agi + tele all the time to have a chance.
A noob walking to find Chaun most likely will reach him by shear luck, unless he is solo on the map.
Plus, if he spawns inside a tree on a corner of the map he can be pretty much undetectable unless you actually ram the tree.

And if he tele's to that little enclosed area @ 7 o clock, you may walk forever and wont find him unless you go off the map south and enter that lil patch.

I think the staffs was nice enough to make some changes after the event was released that leprechaun would spawn in ONE MAP instead of 3.
