well... try to introduce yourself in mainchat...

don't need to bother those AFKers in the town... lol (including me)
we usually put our main character in AFK mode then use other character to do something

Like Kaeri said, try to stay a Novice with the Novice Gear for longer than normal. It really helps a lot.

If you have any questions, shoot over to Gonryun. Plenty of people there that are usually around to help.
Try speaking in main chat too. @main Message here.
