Please help: how do you upload siggy ?
« on: January 09, 2008, 10:35:13 pm »
Please help me. I have a siggy that I wish to make as my personal signature, however, it is not just an image but rather its a CS3-made siggy with animation. I really do appreciate it if you can help me forum posters, thank you.

P.S. If you can help me, could you please make it as a step-by-step instruction as it's easier for me to comprehend in case I get confused? Thank you truelly.

Upload it to photobucket.com or imageshack.us and put the link to it in [img] tags?

You would have to save it as a animated GIF file and then export it so you can upload it through imageshack.us or similar

Could you please make it as a ste-by-step instruction? I am not quite sure how I would have to do it that way, please?

This is also another question that I would appreciate if answered: Once I have finished my siggy (with animation), do I have to "merge" it into one single frame, or something like that? I mean, I have more than 10 frames of animation but I do not know if I have to compress into a single frame or I just leave it the way it is.

Also, I have saved it as a "gif" format as you had suggested, shanex, but then I receive this request of "GIF Options" which asks me if I wanted "Normal" or "Interlaced" ... I don't understand what either of the options do, shane could you please help me out on this? Thanks.

Try both (save as each time so you get another copy of the file)

Also again try both using save as so you get a new copy of the file as you save it so if something doesnt work out you can just delete it.

If you would like an animated siggy, you would need several frames. Each frame will be a different movement.

However if you merge it, it will become motionless. When you want to save your image as a gif file, you can use the shortcut that I normally use.

ctrl + alt + shift + s

I've already stated this in your other thread.
