For four dollars, would I do better to invest in Triple Critical Bastard Sword or a Quad Critical Katana?

Sell your 4 ads @ 950k each in game and then just buy cards from vendors, stuff is super cheap now.

Also, we can't really help you out too much unless you tell us what kind of gear you have access to.

Generally Knights get crit through 2x Kobold deathloops, Gryphon headgear and then adding luk and using a DDT Nibelung. :x which isn't particularly accessible to new players.

You could also stick with a high Str 2 Handed Knight.
Crits is strictly vs high defence monsters like Raydrics.
