Pierce and deviling

I  know this probably a noobish question, but if i have a pierce weap like a IP or somethin would  i still hit a lot on ppl with deviling and GR???

IP does more damage on high Def enemies (Though -30% damage on Demi Human/Emp). Ck pierce Def of Demi Human enemies, but not reduction. Deviling/Ghostring are neutral reductions. The only way to bypass them is using elemental attacks. (Or status armors.)

Get Elemental Daggers to deal more dmg on Deviling and bypass ghostring.
Elem Daggers are cheaper then IP and stuff.

Ice Picks do more damage the more Def a target has. Combat Knives pierce the defence of Demi-Humans (players).

There is no way to bypass Deviling with those weapons. The reduction still hurts your damage.

Of course, if you are assasin, a simple Enchant Poison will rip through Deviling pretty easily.
