Item Recovery Rules
To prevent item and zeny loss, please follow these rules carefully for your own security. We reserve the right to either refuse service or charge an Item Recovery Fee if you do not follow any of these rules.
- Do not loan another player your items or zeny for any length of time, regardless of who that other player may be. Item theft is commonly committed by friends or guild members.
- Don't ask another player to transfer items or zeny for you. There are other, more secure methods for transferral, which can be found here.
- Never give out your password to another player. Please remember that you are responsible for actions on your account. Furthermore, if you believe someone knows your password, you can change it through the Edit Account option.
- If you buy an account, change the password and the registered e-mail address IMMEDIATELY through the Edit Account page.
- When trading or giving items to another player, check the player name at the top of the trade window before finishing the transaction. If you are standing in a crowd, take a few steps away to make sure you are trading the correct character.
- For your own protection, take screenshots to document the trade. Take screenshots of both players agreeing to the deal, as well as all trades involved.
- When mailing items to yourself or another player, make sure that you have the correct name prior to sending the item or zeny. Misspellings may result in your item being sent to the wrong person.
- To guard against getting scammed by "throwaway characters," do not pay the other party first unless they are a transcendent class or above level 70.
- Check the items being traded before accepting the trade. Verify that both parties are giving the items promised, including yourself. A common scam is when another player spams you with trade dialogs by constantly closing and opening the trade window, sometimes claiming "technical problems." They will try to trick you by placing an item that looks similar to the promised item in the trade window.
- When purchasing characters or accounts, verify that the account or character exists and is the proper class and level. Ask the other party to log in as that character and trade you, as you can see the level through the trade dialog. You are responsible for checking the character's levels and change job level.
- If you are scammed or have your items stolen, report the incident immediately through the Support Ticket System. If you do not make a report within 24 hours, we may not be able to help you.
- Do not give your password, account, or items to anyone claiming to be a GM in-game. GMs will never ask for these things, and another player is likely trying to scam you. Instead, take screenshots and submit them in a support ticket.
- When dragging items from your inventory, keep the equipment screen (Alt+Q) open. This will prevent you from accidentally dropping an item on the floor.
- When selling items to an NPC, make sure you are not selling anything that you would like to keep.
- When creating a new item from existing items through an NPC, please remember that an NPC cannot differentiate between carded items and non-carded items. NPCs may also use equipped gear to create the new item. Make sure you are using the correct items during this creation process. For your own safety, bring ONLY the necessary gear when you create the new item and place the rest in your kafra..
- When vending, double check your prices. Players often make typing errors and sell items for less than they intended.
- Do not attempt to deceive the GM team. We reserve the right to deny service if a player seeking a recovery attempts to lie or otherwise deceive the GMs. Furthermore, this offense may lead to punishment on the offender's accounts and IP.
