We updated the installers again not long ago. You can find them all on the
AnesisRO Downloads page.
Installation Tips- Be sure anesis_full_20140823.exe, anesis_full_20140823-1.bin, anesis_full_20140823-2.bin, and anesis_full_20140823-3.bin are all in the same folder before you begin installing AnesisRO. To install, run anesis_full_20140823.exe.
- Avoid installing in C:\Program Files\ - this can lead to, among other problems, an inability to save screenshots or chat logs.
- When your installation is complete, run Patch_kRO.exe and Patch_Renewal.exe first. (You can just click on the "Close" button when they are done.) They help prevent errors when we use new content from kRO, so you'll want to remember to run these at least once a month.
- Use anesispatch.exe to launch RO. This will ensure that your game data is always up-to-date and will help prevent map and sprite errors from custom content. If you prefer using Anesis.exe to run the game, please remember to run anesispatch.exe at least once a week and after every server reboot.
Download Options- Browser Download: We currently have a 4-part download. If you don't have all four parts in the same folder before installing, you may receive an "insert disk" error.
- Torrent: This option is recommended for anyone with a slow connection and anyone who disconnects or needs to turn the computer off frequently. You can safely close the torrent client in the middle of a download, and it will continue the next time you start the torrent client. Torrents work best when there are multiple connections to help distribute the file, so if you can spare some bandwidth, please help seed it when you're done! Google: How to Use Torrents
- The conversion installer is not a substitute for the full installer. Use it only if you already have another private server installed on your computer and you would like to save space by sharing some of its files with AnesisRO. Note that you may encounter errors if your data.grf, rdata.grf, and BGM folders aren't up-to-date.
Also, if your anesispatcher stops working or if we have accidentally released a patch that has malfunctioned, you can download
abdata.grf directly from the download page. Simply extract the .ZIP files and use them to replace the abdata.grf and abserver.dat in your AnesisRO folder, then try running anesispatch.exe again.
