does anyone know what color the numbers are when dyeing hair?

It's pretty hit-and-miss, but I know black is somewhere between 7-12.

Otherwise you're on your own. It pretty much decreases in hue and contrast for a set of 3, so it's:

Dark Green
Green
Light Green
Dark Red
Red
Light Red
...etc
