scholars are fucking overpowered...the dispell skill...deluge...land protector...a scholar can kill every class if well used...stop crying babies and make a SG suggestion D:

Now are we talking about WoE or pvp? In Pvp there are several classes that can kill scholar easily with gtb/mdef and even that little bit of pierce won't help in both situations (since those who can pull off a decent mdef build can also afford a gtb).
As far as strip shield goes.. in pvp it is a bit useful but by the time you manage to strip an enemy's shield you already lost most of your HP.
And about the usefulness of it in woe... Just stick with the HW card discussion if you want to pierce mdef. There are more important things a scholar could be doing instead of attempting to waterball a character who can pot it off with ease. (I was hit with this skill a while back in woe on my sniper with 55 mdef and I didn't even bother to heal as I walked by since the damage was so pathetic
Oh and I don't believe you can say they're "doing it wrong" since there is no defined proper way to play a character.. but you could say that they aren't effective at all in supporting their guild.
