How to donate using Visa "gift" debit card

do u have to use pay pal to donate? cuz i have a debit card n when i made pay pal account it say i need to activate by using a bank account which i dont have. is there a way around this by just doanting with my card?

Er, theres a way to do it without verifying your bank, but you do need to make a Paypal account.

On the main website, click on the left hand side menu "How to Donate"; then enter in the space provided how much you wish to donate.

Then after pressing Add Credit, you should be taken to a website showing this:

If you do not see that, but rather a few stuff on the left and then on the right hand side a log-in window, then look on the left for a link that says "Continue Checkout.

It should say something like:

Why use PayPal?

- Use your credit card online without exposing your card number to merchants.

- Speed through checkout. No need to enter your card number or address.

Sign up for a PayPal account and continue checkout.

Continue checkout should be in blue as it is a link, and that will send you to the picture menu that I screenied, and then there you can just proceed to fill out the information without having to make an account.

Doing so will not require you to have your bank account Verified, but you will make an account in doing so.  (It doesn't do you any harm to make one)

If you have a Debit card, then you obviously have a bank account...


But to answer the question, No, you don't need a bank account to make a Paypal account or donate.

Ah, the Gift card.

That is a different scenario, which I can't help you with because I've never used a Gift card.  I'm not 100% sure, but I think there was an issue with that.

No you don't need a bank account BUT...you do need to register the in Paypal like if it were a regular credit card. Just make sure you called the number on the card to activate it and it should take an hour for the card to be active.

Then make a paypal account and add the card...

Paypal ended up not letting me donate until I got my bank account registered to it.... which kind of defeated the purpose of using prepaid credit cards to donate at all, aside from the fact that it was instant (whereas my bank account couldn't be instant until I also get a debit card and registered it to the account, as well).

Maybe it will work for small amounts though idk

I'm pretty sure you need to add a card and a bank account. Then you need to verify it by entering the amount that they will put in your bank account. Like, they will deposit 23 cents for example, you need to enter 23 on the verification page.
That's how I did it when I first signed-up, unless they changed it. It took a few days.

I added a "visa debit card" a few months ago and I was able to use it immediately. But maybe it's coz I've already been verified. 

Hmmm.. Did you register it as a "debit card" or as a "credit card?" Either one, it should work.....
Unless it's a gift card, I don't think you can use paypal with a gift card.
