UPGRADING

Hey guys you know that upgrading guy in pront Hollegrehn or whatever his name is. Well I was thinking if dex raises your upgrading percentage? some people say no some yes I'm really confused. I wish Gms would answer this they're more pro I guess or someone really good.

(NOTE: I know WS have that upgrading skill and it takes massive amounts of dex to really upgrade something like a kaho to +10 lol)

Dex only affects the mastersmith/blacksmith upgrading skill.  It doesn't affect the NPC.  Also the mastersmith/blacksmith upgrade skill can not be used on armors, only weapons.

1st WS skill is "weapon refine" which ONLY upgrades WEAPONS*guns not included* with 10% higher success chance than hollegrehn. 2nd It isnt dex that affects "weapon refine" chances its Job Level. 3rd Im pretty sure Dex and Luck doesnt increase weapon or armor NPC upgrades, It only takes TONS of upgradable item and TONS of tries to actually get a +10 and pure LUCK(Not the status luck).

It just takes tons of tries and upgradables heheh I've never tried going beyond +7 cuz getting 2-3 +7 takes 10 attempts*thats for me at least*

i know that a job 70 WS has a better weapon refine than the npc. and all you needd dex and luk for ws is weapon forging.

For every job level as a WS higher than 50 you will get 0.5% more success chance at refining weapons. Only with the Weapon Refine skill, though. So yeah, at job level 70 you get 10% more success rate.

I always thought you can upgrade guns no matter what with a WS.


Anyways, no dex doesnt help, neither does luk.  If you're a WS, job lvl 70 will give you 10% advantage over the NPC, but thats as good as it gets.

Ohh so they changed it now goody!! A few months ago i relied on that stinky hollegrehn to upgrade mah guns

Effect:  Enables you to refine weapons. Unlike Forging, this skill doesn't depend on DEX and LUK, but only on the character's job level. At job level 50, you have about the same chances of upgrading as Hollgrehenn. At job 70, you have an about 10% better success chance than Hollgrehenn.
