Safe to uninstall game without losing characters/items?

Sorry, this may sound like a dumb question, but I just want to be sure. Its been a very long time since I played.
I can safely uninstall the game without losing my characters and their items, correct? My account stays intact?

your acc, items, etc are saved to the server. so..unless the server goes down, or wiped(hopefully these wont happen for a while)
then it'l be there when you get back. and recoverable too if u forget your password...
