To be honest its something that i wont miss, never used auto pitch for multiple purposes, 1st was money...... pots are expensive, with the auto pitch didnt had much control on pots.
besides you can always move your homun a bit behind from the mob, that way the mob will stay on one side and the homun on the other. only prob might be the loot that will prevent you from pitching, but just move it away from it and its good. went to rachel to give one example
