Are Monks/Champs bad money farmers?

My friend said they're bad, I can afford 120m worth of gear - SSTT Mace DL DI 2x berz and GTB.

He said champs dont earn money fast, and blacksmiths are better.

But I thought champs can leech in LH3 and the mvp drops are worth a lot in LH3 and also I can kill other mvps, isn't that much better?

One more thing, he said I shouldn't get a SSTT mace if I make a monk, I should get TTHH or TT skeleton worker skeleton worker because Samurai doesn't add any damage to asura, only strength does.

What are your thoughts? Are champs bad?

The thing is my friend wants me to farm him 140m zenny and hes a friend IRL, so I don't wanna be in niff any longer it's just too boring.

i think there is no such class that could not farm well. it depends somehow on your skill i guess. bs/ws is a common recommendations already because of its greed that can act like a vacuum and not to mention its overpricing skill. this somewhat makes them top on making zeny.

I disagree that Monks/Champs are bad money farmers.  In fact they're one of the best, even for those who don't leech in lh3 or even have the gears.

With just a DBx Chain and Eddga's and Steel Body, I can easily kill Lolis and make money that way. While it may not be as efficient as using a WS/BS or a Priest/HP, it's still fairly good money. You just need to know when to stop attacking to pick up the loots and when to keep going. I don't even need to buy meat because I just use a Loli Ruri Coat instead plus an Enchanted Peach Tree Guard.

W/ Lh3, the rare drops are much better but they're precisely as they're labeled....rare. You're not going to get a good drop every single time you kill something of course. What makes Lh3 such a great place to level is the leeching and not the drops. Unless you're leeching and lucky enough to get rare drops frequently, then you're not going to make much money from lh3.

Btw, it isn't just strength that adds to Asura's damage. It's also the amount of SP you have as well hence why there's a big discussion about implementing the Lady Tanee Card on this server - it adds +50% SP but -50% HP I think, which means Asura's straight from hell and one-shot MvPing. (It seems a lot of people are against this card being like that and I would totally agree with them, it would make Asura even more broken).

Your friend is right about not putting Samurai into your mace. I would suggest TT and skel worker x2 or TTHH.

If you simply don't have the money to do that, then stick to places you can mob well and use DBxx mace or a DBx chain. The chain is there if you REALLY REALLY don't have the money to spend on a mace.

But really though, the best money-makers in this game have to be BS/WS imho. While Steel Body is great for mobbing and then killing with a Bapho weap, there are simply some monsters with too much HP.

Ex: Lolis and Bloody Murderers - By the time you're done killing a BM, all the loots are gone because they have more hp.

W/a BS/WS you wouldn't have that problem because you could greed while you kill (only if the time is right and you don't have too many mobs).

However, that doesn't make Monks/Champs any less capable of making money. If you want to make the best money-making class, go with BS/WS. If you want to make a Monk/Champ to make money then realize you'd make more with a BS/WS but you're still almost just as good.

Oh here's for you, with a champ you can easily 1/2 hit. It becomes an effecient killing machine.

You can really farm since you kill way more than others would in the same time span.

I say this because, just recently I got not 1 or 2 but 3 rosary[1] farming in kiel

I think they farm money. and LH3 loots arn't amayzing.
