Help with MirAI on Vista
« on: July 25, 2008, 09:17:08 pm »
i am having problems with AI on Vista. i've searched for other Vista cases but only one seems to come up.
i am sure i installed the program correctly in the Gravity>AI>USER_AI folder...i got to the control panel part and adjusted the settings to how i wanted- saved settings, but when i relog in the game my homunculus doesn't follow the settings. i've read in another thread that you are supposed to turn off some type of protected mode for Vista, but i have no idea how to do that.
i found this info here: http://www.anthemro.com/forums/index.php/topic,16708.0.html

any help is much appreciated

I believe when you set it up, you have to right click and run it as Administrator.

I believe when you set it up, you have to right click and run it as Administrator.
If that doesn't work, then setting the files onto Full Access for your user account should work.  Right click the files and go from there.

if your homun is already in aggresive and also you typed /hoai to activate and still doesnt work... then re install it:

download both archives and install them in a folder in your documents (not the normal way... in the User AI thingy). Just save all the files innn one fresh new folder in your documents. Then, cut all the archives in the folder and paste them Gravity>AI>USER_AI folder (I came up with this, cuz i also had trouble when i installed mirAI the usual way). then type /hoai (must say its the USER AI activated or somethin like that) and see if that worked /heh if it doesnt... i dunno how to fix it /??

thanks for the advice. i tried the right-click/run as administrator method and it seemed to work since my homun started patrolling at full hp/sp. turning off the protected mode didn't seem to affect the program running, for future reference. if it stops working again, i'll be sure to look back at the other options.

thanks again!
